Securus Technologies founded in1986 is a private technology company based in Dallas, Texas with other regional offices spread in the United States. It provides services in regards to enforcement and corrections to government information, tracking of parolee and communication to detainees. Securus has invested a large sum of money which is about $600 million over the last three years. Uses of this cash were in various technologies, acquisitions, and patents. I consider this fund worth investing in regards to a large number of correctional facilities served. Recently it is reported to be helping about 2,600 contracts in Canada and United States. The company is very innovative and offers high-tech technical solutions to its customers. It has a responsive customer care service in case things are not working as targeted.
Securus has made significant developments the main one introducing a system to manage contraband cell phones. In its wireless containment solution launched in 2017, the company led the prevention of contraband cells from linking with mobile networks. The company has also contributed to economic growth by having a large workforce amounting to about 1000 people.
I admire the Securus management team that is not afraid of what it offers to its customers. It believes that it has provided services to the facilities in a safer way to the society owing this to technology. The jail officials are one group that uses this technique have applauded Securus in the way it has protected and served them. Comments from customers moved me which stated that Securus was at the forefront of the industry with the consistent innovative technology it has been offering to them. Through this technology, they can operationalize the information collected from the inmate telephone system which is vital in carrying out investigations. They also congratulated the display of patents saying that it proved the truthfulness of Securus in the industry. Others indicated that over the 23 years of technology in the correctional space there had not been a project that has been implemented better offering so much support like that one of Securus. Overall they were impressed with the reliability of this company.
In a recently published news release, Securus Technologies CEO and Chairman, Rick Smith shared a few of the comments that customers have been sending into the Dallas, Texas, headquarters on a weekly basis.
All of the listed comments are positive in nature and reflect on the safety and security measures that Securus Technologies works hard to keep updated and cutting edge. Many comments, praise Securus on the investigative tools that are available, including the Searchable Voice technology that allows staff and investigators the option to search recorded calls for an inmate in question and receive a listing of whom the inmate calls and who calls the inmate.
CEO, Rick Smith, has stated the every week Securus Technologies either invents a new Pete of technology or refines an existing service to make sure the Securus is offering the most up to date safety and security software of any inmate communications company. Rick also extends an offer to any potential client, that they may tour their Dallas headquarters for an in depth look at the Securus software.

Securus Technologies is a large industry leader in the communications industry. They primarily are involved with the servicing of correctional institutions, law enforcement agencies, and safety organizations. Their client base exceeds 3,400, and they service over 1.2 million inmates and their families throughout North America.
The Securus platform works with all Androids, iPhones, tablets and regular phones that are landline setups. There are several calling plans including direct billing, prepaid calling, collect calls and inmate debit where the payment is the inmate’s responsibility.
The video calling system is very popular because the callers can see each other while they talk, as long as there is a webcam set up at each end of the call. There is also a Jail Voicemail feature, email, and a special money transfer capability.
The system works very well and the connection between the incarcerated loved and the family on a daily basis has opened up a plethora of good things. Securus constantly is awarded plaudits for their excellent customer service.
Unfortunately, in recent months a competitor, GTL has disparaged Securus by floating untruthful information about Securus. GTL claimed that their servicing and pricing models were far better than those of Securus, and nothing could be farther from the truth. The examples and models presented by GTL seem to have come from Uncle Loopy’s Mad World of Rejects.
Securus made the decision to stop the foolishness by throwing down the gauntlet. They threw out a challenge to GTL. Each company would lay their metrics side by side backed by unimpeachable proof, and a disinterested third party would be the judge of it all. As soon as word got out in the public arena, a deafening silence permeated the air. Nothing was heard of GTL for several weeks until they meekly notified Securus that they had chosen not to compete in the challenge. The truth always wins, and that is the end of that story forever.
